It was at a Planning Committee Meeting for a Women’s Day Conference that...

 Mary’s alter ego was born! While they needed comedy for the event, the committee hit a dead end in their search…that’s when one of the members turned to Mary and said “Mary, you have a crazy sense of humor, why don’t you come up with something”…thus, Miss Birdie was born.

Actually, her full name is Bertha Yvonne Beetlemyer Bittensteele but that’s a mouth full, so everyone just calls her Miss Birdie!

Since then Mary, AKA Miss Birdie, has traveled all over the southeast sharing her special brand of humor. There is one thing that has become very clear…“people need to laugh”. Not the off color jokes, but clean Christian family comedy, that everyone can enjoy. Miss Birdie has a unique way of weaving laughter, the love of Jesus and Biblical lessons into each skit.
