It all started over 40 years ago when two young girls met and became inseparable! Mary Jones and Rita Broyles struck up a conversation then and have never stopped talking to this day! A lifetime of fun, laughter, disappointments, thrills, sadness, successes, failures, pleasures and pain have made this special friendship stronger.

            God’s grace has provided Mary and Rita with individual ministries and He now is blessing them with a dual ministry called “Friends Plus Two!” Together they stand to work for the Lord, and just like their long friendship, it is nurtured by undying love and respect for each other and God.

            Two friends, once shared a conversation, then shared a life, and thanks to Calvary will now share eternity. Friendship is truly a gift from God!

 “But we will give ourselves continually to prayer,

 and to the ministry of the word.”

            Plus Two emerged out of our hearts and lives. Mary’s “passion” for pocketbooks and Rita’s “obsession” for cooking and baking just naturally developed two crazy characters called “Miss Birdie” and “Cookie!”

            Though “pocketbooks” became Miss Birdie’s original skit, her lifetime adventures provide ongoing topics and funny lines for future “Birdie” antics. Miss Birdie’s costumes, especially her hats, are hysterical and outrageously over the top!

            “Cookie” however, is all about chocolate! Now, Mary and Rita are true “Chocoholics.” So “Cookie’s” skits never suffer for new ideas. Dressed in her signature “chocolate attire,” whipping out kitchen gadgets and sharing her “chocolate wisdom,” “Cookie” eats her way into your heart!

            Plus Two began as an extension of a lifelong friendship and has now become a vital part of Mary and Rita’s ministries. Plus Two is all about two crazy, funny, unpredictable characters who are sure to put a smile on your face and a laugh in your heart, but most of all they’re all about friends!

            Friends Plus Two is ready for your next event! Rita will touch hearts with her strong southern gospel voice. Mary can bring and inspirational message inspired by God’s Word. Together they can also deliver the crazy antics of their “alter egos.”
